Plot Summary
The first manned mission to Mars is hailed as humanity’s greatest leap — six astronauts embarking on a historic voyage across millions of kilometers of space. As the world watches breathlessly, every transmission appears live. But behind the scenes, NASA enforces a secret 15-minute broadcast delay, a buffer designed to give officials time to manage potential catastrophes before the public sees them.
After months in space, the crew successfully lands on the red planet—only to be greeted by something no one expected: intelligent alien life.
The extraterrestrials calmly reveal that the galaxy is home to countless civilizations, bound together in a peaceful interstellar alliance. Any species that reaches another planet through its own efforts is offered a choice: join the galactic community—or remain in isolation forever.
Stunned, the astronauts relay the offer to NASA. The world could change forever—but only if the truth is allowed to reach it. The agency now has 15 minutes to decide.
